  1. By becoming a buddy you are making you’re your experience as a person living with cancer relevant by giving something back to newly diagnosed cancer patients at a crisis time in the start of their journey with cancer
  2. By becoming a buddy you are making you’re your experience as a person living with cancer relevant by giving something back to newly diagnosed cancer patients at a crisis time in the start of their journey with cancer
  3. Sharing your experience of getting through cancer treatment provides hope to persons facing this new challenge
  4. A Peron that has gone through the cancer experience has a story to tell and this story can assist new patients who are starting their journey with cancer
  5. Cancer survivorship is not a easy journey and the support that the Cancer buddy’s provide to each other is of great importance
  6. Cancer Buddy’s assist new cancer patients to feel empowered and start teaching new patients to be “patient active” this approach speaks to taking control and speaking up about your needs
  7. Cancer Buddy’s advocate for cancer patients rights by giving voice to their concerns and fears and doing this also gives meaning to their own experience.
  8. Being a cancer buddy is also part of our own healing as we reach out to people who are caught up in fear and uncertainty we can provide guideline and hope at a time of severe uncertainty
  9. Being a Cancer Buddy provide peer support by people that have been through the cancer experience and all of us have wished we had cancer Buddy’s when we were diagnosed
  10. Cancer Buddy’s provide us with an opportunity to give something back !!!!that give meaning to our own suffering and hardship
  11. Belonging to the special club of cancer survivors ….is special because this experiences teaches us to listen differently and with great compassion because we have all been there done that and have the T-Shirt
  12. Become a cancer Buddy, become involved and Give Something back that will enrich your life and the lives of the new patients you will meet
